The New Orleans chapter has always maintained a strong connection with our
national organization. Two of our members have served on Executive Council:
Ann Buchler Williams, Gamma Eta, was National President from 1989-1995;
and Mandy Meehan Chocheles, Gamma Eta, served as Alumnae
Vice-President from 2007-2010.  Other chapter members have served or
continue to serve as National Officer in such positions as Alumnae Director,
Alumnae and Collegiate Coordinators, Awards Coordinator, Meeting Planner,
Membership Recruitment Coordinators, Convention Chairman, and
Leadership Consultant.

Suzanne McGlone, Gamma Mu,  presently serves on the Board of
the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation

We have been represented at every national Convention since 1974, and were
chosen to host the 1989 Triennial Convention here in New Orleans. The
chapter regularly makes Honor Roll status, and has achieved several
Outstanding Programming awards as well as Alumnae Chapter of the Year.

At Founders' Day - 2011, Margot Hammond, Gamma Mu, was awarded the
prestigious Emily Gates Award by National President, Kaye Schendel.  We
are so proud of Margot and the work she has done in aiding needy children
with her legal experience.
